I made it a whole whopping 3 weeks between appointments. For those who didn't see, I posted about tingling in my arms and legs. I called the cardiologist yesterday afternoon to see if it could be stopped and they decided to work me in. Had an EKG done, and the Cardiologist told me I am really scarring him. He sent me for a spinal X-ray today and is scheduling me for a Head CT scan this week to make sure there isn't any underlying causes.
In the mean while it just so happens that my referral for Duke finally came back to the office today and the nurse noticed the letter and my name on the patient list, so instead of mailing it she handed me the letter. I go Sept 2. Wow it really seems like everything is happening so quickly.
I go back to my current Cardiologist on Sept 13, I guess that is when I will get X-ray and CT results.
On a side note about insurance: He said to go to Medicaid this week and get the ball rolling, and if they give me a hard time or have trouble qualifying me to have them call him and he will tell them exactly why I need to be approved.
Now I am off to go learn everything I can about this Duke guy.
