Well, my new friends, I'll be leaving here tomorrow afternoon for Phoenix (200 miles) to get ready for my big day. Pre-op consultation with the surgeon at 7:00 AM Tuesday followed by all the other pre-op tests. Surgery scheduled for Wednesday AM.
I'm still kind of new here but want to thank all of you for your comments remarks and the help in general I received from this forum. I couldn't have found all this information anywhere else in years. It has been a relief for me to know what to expect before and after. I know we are all different, but it's great to have a heads up on what might happen. I will heed the advice, rest, eat, walk, breathe, rest.
Thanks
Mel

Mel,

Wishing you all the best for a successful and boring surgery. Looking forward to hearing the post-surgery report.

Godspeed.

I wish you all the best Mel, I hope you have a uneventful surgery & an easy recovery! Prayers are going up for you!

Hi Mel,

What hospital and surgeon are you going to have in Phoenix? I was part of the Scottsdale Memorial HEalth Systems for about 10 years when we lived out there. I still feel most connected to that great bunch of people.

You'll be fine. Just watch the heat when you start your recovery at home, since you'll be weak, and it will really sap you, even though I know we LAUGH at anything under 110!:)

More thoughts and prayers....

More thoughts and prayers....

will follow you through your surgery and recovery!!

Mel - Positive thoughts!! Godspeed and will be anxious to hear your post-op posting!
