I am in Fl Panhandle - we have cold winters; hot summers.
A week or so before Christmas we had weather in high 70s and 80s. We had blue birds all over the yard checking blue bird boxes, wrens, too, looking for nesting spots. Other birds were everywhere, too. Then it got freezing at Christmas and the week after.
We are again having warm weather and birds seeking nesting places. Plants are budding out. Daffodils are jumping up 6-8 inches tall. Fig tree has buds all over it. Gerbera daisies are coming up.
Wonder what all this means - My son told me he had heard weather folk say that SE will have early spring, mild summer.
What about you?
I'm not bragging about our weather (actually it's rain out there now), just interested and wondring about the rest of the country. We haven't had a check for awhile now. Bonnie usually starts it, but she's got a cold.
