Lately I've had a few episodes when I was sitting back, trying to relax, and suddenly both arms feel very weak. Just in case, I have swallowed some low-dose aspirin. The sensation has gone away within a few minutes.

Anybody had anything like this?

It's been a stressful week: my dog (as some of you know) with a dislocated hip, work deadlines, yard work, appointments of various kinds. Lots of activity and not a lot of sleep. I am inclined to attribute it to stress. Anyone else had anything like this? From doing some surfing, I see meds can sometimes cause this. Also carpal tunnel.

Bob, sometimes when I recline (in my recliner) and take a few sips of wine (literally 3 tablespoons or so), my arms feel very very tired, almost as if they are asleep with no "pins and needles" sensation. It only lasts a minute or two and it slowly leaves. Does that sound familiar?

I've asked a few doctors and they have no explanation but are unconcerned.

Sounds like you have over-worked your arms this week..didn't you say, you had to lift Sadie into the car?Yard work makes my arms tired..Raking, leaf blower, ect..You need to take it easy..now that Sadie is on the mend..:) Bonnie

Rob, if it persists, go see your cardiologist. After my heart attack I was so tired and my arms were so heavy and tired I felt I could barely lift them. (the er diagnosed me with GERD but it really was an attack that I found out about later). I'm not trying to scare you, but want you to pay attention to your arms and any other places that feel not right.

Rob, I can't say that I've experienced anything quite like this, but overall I know that weird things are happening to my body, or seem to be, and I think it's because I'm so much more attuned to myself. I get cold feet, tingling sometimes, but nothing major so far. The more I work out, the better I feel, this much I know.

Hang in there, you will be fine. Hope your life is blessed! :)

Temp, atenolol caused me to have cold feet when I would lie down.

Rob, how are you today. You have been through such a traumatic time lately and want to know how you feel this morning. And how Sadie is.

Thanks, Ann, and all who replied. No more episodes with the arms so far. Guess Bonnie has a point: lifting a 64-pound lab in and out of cars on top of lot of yard work could have done it.

Took Sadie back to the vet this morning. They will x-ray again to see if leg is holding together and then probably put a new sling on. If the hip is out again, not sure what. Probably try to pop it back in place and put a sling on it for a few more weeks. Don't think surgery is in the picture but will know more later today.

Sweet little grandkids are here for weekend and of course they want to be all over Sadie. So when Sadie comes back from vet, that will be a challenge. Keeping her settled and quiet and letting grandkids have fun in other ways.

It has been a stressful week, no doubt.
