Yep, after months of thinking about it we bought a puppy!
Awwwww he's soooo cute! He's a cross shihtzu and lhasa apso! And he looks like a fluffy teddy bear. He's brown with black patches and 4 white paws - we all fell in love with him straight away. He's only 7 weeks at the moment so we pick him up next saturday when he'll be 8 weeks (well duh! lol)

VERY excited!!
love Emma

Congrats on the new family member. He sounds like a handsome fellow. We have 3 Yorkshire Terriers, 1 Bichon Frise, and 2 cats. They all rule the roost one way or another. Enjoy your puppy!

We have a Shih Tzu. She's our second. Our first passed away. He was a darling dog and Joe used to carry him around in a basket. He stayed right in there.

This little gal is a fantastic and smart little dog, we love her dearly. She's almost human. They are the cutest little dogs.

What would we do without our little ones!!!! Just to tell you a cute story, I had AVR 9 weeks ago. My 5 year old maltese is diabetic and blind but actually does very well getting around. However, when I was in the hospital,he kept trying to find me and would finally go in my bedroom and just sit and bark at the bed, thinking I was there!!!!! Drove my poor husband crazy!!!! One of the cute mixes I have seen around lately is Yorktese, part Maltese and part Yorksire Terrier, would love to have one, But I think it would be too stressful for Sammy where he is blind.. Have fun with your new puppy!!!! Rose

We had a Shih tzu for 12 years..He was the best dog we have ever had..( and had plenty of them)..When he passed..I said No more dogs..but, daughter went out and bought Kallie. Our 5 year old Papillon... He runs our house..if we leave him home..for even an hour..have to come home..and ride him around the block.....Talking about spoiled.. He is 5 years old and not a day passes that we are not stopped and asked what kind of dog is she? ( Kallie is a boy) :D But, so beautiful..Small..large flowing tail, ect..They are called Butterfly dogs..They have long ears..and looks like a Butterfly......Very rare to see one..Daughter paid $$$ for him..but told us, Mama ..all old people need a dog. :D He keeps me exercised..Very active outside..Walking, ect..Bonnie

Emma, what a surprise to see the same mix as our little Saltydog is. He is the best dog we have ever had and I am very happy with those two breeds. He seems to have the best of the two! They are so very cute and almost look like a Bishon (sp).

I used to have two Pappions Bonnie which were also wonderful. The smaller American breed and the Canadian larger one. They were called the "wash and wear" dog due to the quality of their fur. They are very missed. They were more hyper than Saltydog.

Please put on pictures when you get the baby?

Donna

Emma, you will have to post some pictures, i dont know what they look like. We have a shih tuz, we got him from the dogs home, our first dog. He rules the house, hes always pinching Curtis's pokemon, he goes mad and we have to chase the dog round the house, to get them back.He can be a pest because hes always begging, if he looses a tiny bit of a chew bar, he wont have another one, he will cry until you find it. Be prepared its like having another child but also great fun. :)

She's a terror!!

She's a terror!!

I suppose most of you have had the chance to see my doxie dog Milady's photos all over the place!?? Well, we bought her when she was just over one month old. She'll be two on the 30th of this month and we love her! Bruna wants to have another cake for her this year so, you'll soon see some more pictures of the most important four-legged creature in my life!!LOL!!
Emma, I'm sure it will be great for Chloe because as they say on Animal Planet, pets and children are a great mix!! Take a couple of photos of him when you get a chance and make sure he gets house trained right from the beginning!
Débora :)

Warning! Remove any article that you do not want chewed to death from within anywhere the puppy can get too! ;) Don't be leaving good dress shoes or that sort of stuff laying around or your gonna be an upset mamma.

Thanks everyone!
I will be making sure EVERYTHING is out of his reach! lol

Donna, could you post a photo of your dog?? I'd love to see what he might look like when he's a bit bigger?? Thankyou

I will try and post a photo of him next weekend when we get him.

Still trying to decided on his name at the moment. Theres a big debate going on about it here at the moment.
Names being mulled over right now are..
Fudge, Harley, Travis, Harvey and Tyson.

Love Emma

Id say, Harley  cool name, mines called charlie but that was aready his name when we got him, so we couldn't really change it, because he's 7, to old for change.

OH, I know Chloe is so excited.........

OH, I know Chloe is so excited.........

My sister had a little black Lhasa for a number of years. Tibby was her name. That just popped into my head after all these years. Anyway, she was a fabulous dog and was very, very housebroken. We, too, are looking for "dogs" for the kids. Trip is convinced that he wants a golden retriever (too many Airbud movies, I think). Katie is not sure, but I am only showing her pictures of all the really short-haired breeds. :D :D I was really torn because most of my pets in the past have been rescued from the pound, but I feel like every kid ought to have just once in his/her life a dog that he/she has picked out completely on their own. So the search goes on.............hugs to you both. Love J.
