i'm thinking of having a tattoo, but not sure of the outcome as i take warfarin can someone give me some good advice, don't seem to be able to find what's best.

I wanted to replace an existing tat, aint happenin. Coumadin will cause more bleeding and blurring. Any reputable tat parlor would probably say thanks but no thanks once you let them know your on a thinner.

You can always stop taking coumadin for a couple of days prior to getting a tattoo...not real sure of the true risks in this. I think the main concern will be increased risk of infection and endocarditis.

Don't stop Coumadin or your risking a stroke. Yes there is the possibility of infection if you go to a nonprofessional artist. Most pro's won't touch you with a ten foot pole if your on Coumadin.
