Well I am still waiting for my family doctor to call me back.. and I am praying she does.. but I did go ahead and schedule an appt. with her next week in case.. this shortness of breath and tachycardia are getting to me, called in sick to work today which I hated to do, but feel to miserable most of the time and to tired to go in + I am hoping my doc. calls me back. I did switch my meds around so taking the toprol at night and digoxin in afternoon and will
work on switching cardizem to afternoon and Dig in a.m if I ever get to talk to my doctor. (don't get me wrong she is a superb dr. but really, grr I hate waiting around..

aah well sorry to vent,

Erica

Hey Erica,
I hope you Dr. gets back with you and helps you get this taken care of. If your shortness of breath continues or gets worse and the tachycardia continues I would go to the ER and I am sure your Dr. will see you. Don't take any chances. That is what the ER is there for. I would also let your Dr. know what you are doing with your meds just to be sure it is OK to be switching them.
Again, I hope you get it all taken care of.
Take Care

Hi fyrfytr,

thank you for your reply, I do have a sort of silly question though, when/if I where to go to the er, do I call my private physician first to see if she will meet me there or how does that work?

I havent heard back from her, but you never do know.. take care,

Erica

I will usually call Joe's doctors, if there's time, before he goes to the ER. They are very nice and most of the time will call the ER with instructions. If it isn't a really dire emergency, I will try to get Joe in for an emergency office appointment. There have been times when he's been admitted to the hospital directly into the hospital. His main doctor's offices are connected to the hospital itself.

There have been other times when it's too much of an emergency and it's directly to the ER, either in an ambulance or with me driving.
