Hi guys,

This is the situation. I am all packed and have the cat ready to put in the carrier to bring to the kennels. About 10AM I think I reverted back to rapid atrial fib. I am running between 120 and 178. Right now only 133 on polar monitor which runs right on the money with the telemetry at c-rehab. I have a call in to my cardiologist on what to do. If it is the same protocol as immediately post-op then I can wait 24 hours to see if it goes back on it's own or not and that would bring me to boarding the plane.

We are scheduled to leave here at 2:30 to drive to Charlotte to have dinner with my son and daughter-in-law and then drive to Raleigh (about 3 hour drive) to spend the night. Right now I am very upset over this. I hope to see you all but right now my trip is in Jeopardy.

Well, just what I was afraid of...my husband is on his way home to bring me to the ER. This won't necessarily prevent me from coming. I'll just have to wait and see.

Hang in there Betty...we're with you!

Betty,

Your situation right now makes me think of what Karylynn (sp?) said on her post the other day about stress affecting heart patients more than the norm. I'm sure you have been busy trying to get ready to go to the reunion and all - hence partly contributing to your a-fib.

I know the doctors will get you fixed up and/or the a-fib will stop on its own.

Once you get to the reunion, you will have a great time and the a-fib won't have a chance to rear its ugly head!! Prayers are with you.

Chris

Oh Betty - I hope things settle down and you are able to make your trip. I'm pulling for you here - just relax and it will all work out.

Hi,

I am still planning on the reunion. Back from the ER- rapid atrial fib with rate in 170's but converted on it's own back to Sinus Rhythm. Still got the cardiac work-up. Potassium was a little low.

One potassium tablet....cost: about $1,450.00

Back on track for Chicago in AM:)

Betty! I am defiantly missing posts. Just getting ready to go meet everyone over at the pizza place. I am so very sorry. Please please...... take care of #1 1st.

If you are not feeling well...stay close to home and your doctors. We want you with us yes, but also to be well. Please let me konw if there is anything you need.

Not checking into the hotel until tomorrow afternoon. Will return home this evening and check the forum.

Be well and take care

$1,450.00 for one Potassium pill????? Woo-hoo who figured out that price, King Midas?

Joe takes at least 3 per day every day, sometimes 4. Medco health shows a 21 days supply to cost about $8.00 retail.

You must have had the super-duper extra special gold-plated edition.:p :p

Take it Easy, Betty

Take it Easy, Betty

You take it easy and be good to yourself.

Nancy, what is ROFLMAO????

hey betty!
i'm glad you are back in sinus rhythm. please , as gina said, look out for #1 first and foremost.
if anyone does, we all understand that.
still, if you can make it, we would love to meet you.
hoping to see you there friday night (it would mean you are fine).
stay well, sylvia

Betty - I'm having a difficult time walking, working, etc., with all my fingers, toes, arms, legs, etc. crossed in the hope that all is well and that you are able to get to the reunion.

If you see a wrapped-up bundle with a head somewhere in the hotel lobby, come on over and say hi!

Betty,

Betty,

1 Potassium tablet with ER visit = $1450.00

Sinus rhythm - priceless :D

Hope everything is fine with you and that you stay in sinus rhythm.
