Vytorin and INR? Al?

I was recently switched from Lipotor to Vytorin by my Cardio and have been fighting my INR ever since. I asked him when he prescribed it if it would have any effect and he said that as far as he knew it shouldn't. This is a combination drug that combines ezetimibe(Zetia) and simvastatin(Zocor). I can find information about Zocor and do not think it is causing my problem. I can not find anything that tells me how I might expect Zetia to effect my INR. Anyone have and information they could share?

Rick ,I looked up Zetia in the PDR and they specifically stated that it had no effect on warfarin metabolism or prothrombin time. However I have never liked combo drugs. If something goes wrong one is never sure which drug is causing it. Maybe you should take Zetia and Zocor separately, one at at a time ,and check your PT after one week for each drug. Marty

I've seen a few people taking Vytorin without problems. There could be a little effect from changing statins but it should not be very much.

Thanks for you input guys. I can't figure out what is going on... I quess I will just have to find the right dose....again....
