I found the following list online (forgot where, but you probably can find it by doing a google search) which has been very helpful for me to control my vitamin K intake. If you like to have all kinds of vegetables like I do, this may also be helpful to you. (The numbers are mg/100g I believe. I usually only look at it relatively, e.g. a serving of spinach equals two servings of broccoli.)

Dennie don't drive yourself nuts with these lists. Use them only for a basic guide, but eat the diet you want to eat and as much of whatever it is you like, then dose that diet. Don't diet the dose of Coumadin your on. Diet plays a very small role in INR management anyhow. Sorry, but I hate to see people try to live on what these lists give and get all worried when their INR is out of whack. I just don't give them much credit.

I love brussel sprouts. If I listen to the recommendations, I can only eat 5 of them. Nonsense, I am not a bird. Give me 10. I love asparagus, broccoli, spinich and other greens and eat as much as I want too. My Coumadin dose is adjusted for my higher then normal Vit K intake.

I just hope this will be helpful to people who, like me, enjoy having all sorts of different vegetables but may get nervous when their INR get out of range.

Thanks for all the info. I appreciate being able to see what the content is, so I know what I'm eating. It doesn't sway what I eat, but it is helpful to know.

Last night we were sitting with my husband's 85 year-old "aunt" at our niece's wedding reception. She takes Coumadin for a-fib. She had a glass of wine and said "This is okay, because I'm also having a salad and they will balance each other out. But I have to remember that this is one of the 3 salads I'm allowed to have this week. That's because I'm on Coumadin." I already spoke with her quite a while back that she should just eat what she wants and let her doctor adjust her Coumadin accordingling. I had explained that if she's in range there is really not much she can eat that will put her in jeopardy. She is a very large woman, and has gotten larger since she was put on Coumadin. I think this, in part, is because she is avoiding those things that are healthy for her because they have K in it, and choosing more "empty" foods because they don't have K. I didn't say anything last night because it was a wedding and, let's face it, she's 85 years-old. She most likely will not do any questioning of her doctor's orders.
