What do people think?

Hmm ... well if you have calcification and stenosis then you could be at risk if your genes for Vitamin D recpeptor were low. I don't know how much significance this has for humans yet (although its likely).

I was told that you can get sufficient Vit D from 10 minutes of sunshing covering your entire body daily. Normally we cover too much up and so the surface area of skin getting the sunlight is too small. The specialist at the conference said that 5 minutes a side naked without sunscreen every day would do it.

So, I reckon lunchtime in the backyard sounds good as a daily 'fix' ... I'm sure my neighbour is happier to see my wife do this than me, also not sure how it'll go down where I work ;-)

got no idea mate. I'd be tempted to say no, but I recently read a research linking people who took greater dietary supplements with an increased cancer rate. So really, its hard to say one way or another...

I haven't read the paper, but I'll bet that drinking milk (which is naturally fortified with Vitamin D by exposing the milk to ultraviolet light) may be a somewhat safer to get Vitamin D than is taking a pill.

Blecch! Milk - I have laways hated the stuff. If it was so great, then adult cows would drink it. . .

I think I like Pellicle's idea better - at least for my better looking neighbors. For me, I would need a high fence around my yard, and even then the folks in the airplanes above would need to be warned to close the shades.

There seems to be a never-ending list of things that are good for one reason but maybe not so good for others. If I tried to worry about all these, I wouldn't have time for life. I'm so confused.
