Thanks so much for the information. I downloaded the patch the first time you started a thread about it. It has effected the hospital where I work as well as the pharmaceutical plant my husband works at. You probably saved me some serious headaches.

Ok, Ross, for we air-head tech types...is the address you gave us for a patch for this one?

I am still trying to get Mcafee on my computer...had a problem and now I am deleting a bunch of stuff and starting over...hope to squeeze that in this afternoon. I feel like these virus's are lurking all around and ganging up on me. I am about to chuck it all and go back to my Apple.

The link I posted is details of the worm. As long as you've gotten the original patch from Microsoft, this one should pass you by. If you got the blaster worm and didn't get the patch, your asking for trouble.

Sorry. It's the exact same vulnerability and believe it or not, there are still people who have not applied the patch. This worm is now dealing with them. Funny thing about this worm is that it tries to remove the blaster worm from an infected system and install itself in its place.
