I just read that some vinegar helps with appetite/reduces-stabilizes-blood sugar. Does anyone know of any influence a tablespoon to two tablespoons of vinegar per day will initially effect my INR??

It shouldn't have any that I can find. I'm thinking of trying it to relieve sinus garbage at the back of my throat.

I don't know of any interactions with Vitamin K and Vinegar and I have looked extensively on the net. Actually, if there were interactions, I would assume that they would be like alcohol or spinach. Take it in the same amount on a regular basis and "dose the diet."

The whole area of vinegar and blood sugar is getting much press now with the carbo diets (ie. Sonoma Diet). They work with the glycemic index which has been used by diabetics for years. Vinegar, in itself, is somewhat of a wonder ingriedent. It seems to take care of so many things. I've always used it for sun burn. If I can locate a site on vinegar, I'll post it later. For now, here is some info on the Glycemic Index.

My Dad was drinking vinegar back in the 1950s to try to heal broken bones from a car wreck. It has been interesting to watch it rise and fall in popularity about every 10 years since then. I suspect that if it did much good, it wouldn't fall in popularity. I also suspect that if it interacted with warfarin it would have been reported, too.

For good therapeutic value, you need the raw unprocessed organic apple cider vinegar. There is a book out about it also using the Bragg brand. Can be found in healthfood stores.

Seems it is like a fad that comes and goes.

yes, as Al said, it's been around forever. Probably my grandmother used it for something. Touted to be a cure for lots of things. I just know it's good in salads and on windows. Hate the taste and smell.

Another old cure, btw, is baking soda in water for upset stomach. Also a good cleaning product.

Here are 250+ uses for vinegar. Right now I am about to soak some new t-shirts in vinegar to avoid the color fading. It's an all purpose necessity in our house.

what I want to know is how to keep them from shrinking in the dryer.

In the office in which I was working last week I noticed a woman with a bottle of cider vinegar on her desk. I asked her why she had it and she said it was to counteract uric acid, apparently it in some way affects her rheumatic condition. I make too much uric acid, no doctor has told me to use vinegar to reduce it.
