For those of you who are awaiting an aortic valve replacement or have had one, you may be interested in going to the Brigham and Womens website at:
http://www.brighamandwomens.org/. If you click on health information and then webcasts, you will see a link to a video of Dr. Lawrence Cohn performing a minimally invasive aortic valve replacement in September 2003.
Hi, thanks for the link. My computer is not very fast so as soon as I can use my friends, maybe I can watch it. I would not have wanted to see it before the surgery, but now that I am done, I would like to see it. Those are the doctors that did that procedure on me.

My husband Dick had his surgery at Brigham on 12/18/03 by Dr. Cohn also. We looked at the video before the operation and Dick wanted to see it again this past week. When we told Dr. Cohn that we had viewed the video, he was excited and said that Dick's surgery and amount of stenosis was very similar to the patient in the video. It's not for the faint of heart
, but we also found it to be enlightening and informative. You do need a high-speed connection to view it.
