surgery went as expected on thursday 08/13. Thanks every one for all you prayers. It helped me a lot.

I am still recovering. My chest tubes are still there. I have low BP and low potassium.

Thanks Teresa for introducing to a wonderful staff. I hope to recover well and return home. I am just waiting for the day.

I have incision pain.

Welcome to the other side of the mountain. I hope your recovery goes well. I got potassium tablets while I was in the hospital, maybe you will get them too. My last 3 tubes didn't come out until the nineth day, the day I came home from the hospital. Good luck to you.

Welcome to the post-surgery world...it's good to read you have a good staff taking care of you.
You may have to ask for pain meds, after the first first day or so they are frequently on demand, rather on schedule, so don't hesitate to ask.

I had scripts when I went home for potassium ... and iron ..... and vitamin B.... and .. a whole bunch of other stuff. Just one of the things that can get out of whack for a wee while!

I'm sure you feel really terrible at the moment, but you have a whole new life ahead and no death sentence hanging over you anymore. That alone, make this whole thing worth it.
