Saw a friend this weekend. Former Okie now living in NY, about 90 minutes from Cleveland. Recently diagnosed with MVP. She watched the echo being done, could see the leakage (is a vet tech, has worked with sonography). Got a 2nd opinion; doctor said she most definitely did not have MVP, but does have regurg.
2nd doc said nothing to worry about, that about 60% of pop has this. I told her nope, more like 10% at best.
She said Cleveland was mentioned to her for another consult. Told her I'd find name of a cardio there good w/ mitral valve problems.

Any suggestions?

I like Dr. F. Heupler; he's a professional. I'm glad I was in his hands during my cath.

Dr. Huepler is OUTSTANDING, but he does not accept patients except for cath. Dr. Harry Lever, Cleveland Clinic is excellent for valves, but he does not accept many new patients.

Any cardiologist on the staff at Cleveland Clinic that will accept valve patients will be good.

Happy Clicking!

I agree with John & Joann any doc at CCF will be a good choice.

I love my cardio there.....Dr. Richard Grimm D.O. and had some experience with Dr. Stewart, who I enjoyed as well.

As far as surgeons, I had Petterson perform my Ross with Smedira scrubbed in....both excellent suregons.

God Bless,

Ben
