I'm intrigued by "sign shots"; signs direct you to somewhere, tell a story, or just capture your attention. The following are a few "signs shots" I've taken. Since I'm sharing different ones with other boards, I may add more here later....

Anyone else fascinated by signs or take "sign shots"?

The roadside Motel pic brings back memories........
When I met my hubby we decided to take a drive down to Florida. At one of our late evening roadside Motel stops, the motel manager wasn't too thrilled that I wouldn't pay for the room until I had seen it. But he obliged and took us to the only room left. We looked around the room and bathroom (with freshly killed bugs) and started to consider sleeping in the car, so the motel manager grabs the TV remote control and mentions that they have Cable TV. He clicks the TV on, and we were face to face with porn. Lovely. Mr. Motel Manager is apologizing profusely, but we couldn't stop laughing...fortunately the TV did get another channel.

The motel sign picture brought back memories for me, too. Years ago my husband and I went camping in northern Wisconsin, way, way up north. It was early August, but for two nights in a row the temp dipped down into the 40s. I insisted if we were going to stay one more day that we get a motel room for the night. The place was like something out of The Twilight Zone and I thought for sure Norman Bates lived close by -- very creepy! Hubby started to go outside to get something from the car and I scurried along with him, scared he'd be swallowed up by the night and leave me there alone.
