I posted earlier about taking Effexor and it has been a week today and so far everything is okay, no real bad side effects to complain about. I am still taking Prozac (at night, effexor in the morning) and I usually wake up once during the night to go potty and have noticed that when I wake up I can hear my valve ticking really fast. I have only noticed this happens at night and not during the day. Just wondering if the combination of prozac and effexor would cause my heart to beat faster? Would love your input...Thanks for listening~~Becky

ticking the same but you notice it more in the restroom, I know I do. In the tub , or just :p sitting... its normally quieter in a restroom so you hear it better, perhaps this is what is occuring?Love the pup

Joe took Effexor for a very short time. His bloodpressure rose to 200 over (can't remember number), dangerously high. So I'm asking you if you are keeping track of your pressure. It is a known side effect of Effexor.

Stimulant side-effects are pretty common with SSRI antidepressants.

I took effexor I didn't have any problem with my heart beating to fast. I stared having these night terrior they called them. I woke in the middle of the night screeming like a mad women. I scared my husband to death. It stoped when I stoped taking the drug.
