I am 50 scheduled for a May 4th surgery to replace my aortic valve. I have chosen to go with a tissue valve. My valve of choice is the Edwards perimount magna. My surgeon stated that they use the Medtronics mosaic and there is no proven difference in durability. What are your thoughts about the best tissue valve and my surgeon's comments. The first big decision was mechanical versus tissue. Now that I have chosen tissue I want to be confident I am using the best tissue valve available. Your help would be appreciated.
