Valentines Day/Anniversary

Amazing to me that Jim and I were married 17 years ago today. When I think of all the surgeries, procedures and hospitalizations we have been through in these 17 years I am pleased he has stayed by me and been so supportive. My first marriage of 19 years and two surgeries made my ex spouse who was not one single bit supportive run for the hills. That was back in days when you stayed in the hospital for 10-12 days and he would drop me off and stay for surgery and not come back until I was ready to come home. What a jerk. To all the people who are so supportive to the heart patients, thank you. It is not easy to be the other side of the patient but it is one of the important aspects of recovery. Happy Heart Day to all.

I'm so sorry you had a jerk for your first. I cannot imagine having gone through what I did without the support of my spouse. I know right this minute I would not be alive to be typing this.

I have been married almost 18 yrs. I have a great hubby. Last 4 yrs, I have put him thru the ringer with all my surgeries and illnesses. He tells everyone that I am the one who has put all that gray in his hair.

I may have contributed a little.

I tell him to remember " in sickness and in health: richer or poorer" Then I add the good times/ bad times, young age/ old age and of course gray hair/ no hair. Then he will ask me" When will I become rich and when will you not be sick?" We laugh about it alot.

I know he loves me and that he will always be there for me, no matter if I am healthy or not. He gives me alot of strength when I need it. As Ross said, I won't be here too, if it wasn't for him and our dear son.

Congradulations on your anniversary. You have a good man!! May God Bless you with many more years to come. Happy Valentine's Day!!
