Does Q10 (Coenzyme Q10) really interfere with warfarin? I have just notice it's in my hand lotion and I have read that it does if taken orally.

Could it be possible that I will have to stop using this hand lotion from Nivea?

Okay, here's another little tid-bit:
Last week my INR was 2.9, today it's 3.4 both monitor readings (in perfect range) and I started on amoxicillin last Thursday (sinus infection) and last night I used my Q10 hand lotion everywhere.

It's been written and stated that amoxicillin does not effect ones INR (although I've been told otherwise). The only thing that has changed is that I'm doing more yard work, hence the reason for more lotion due to hot showers - I know TMI

This little tid-bit could be all for not - just rambling.

Copied:
Amoxicillin may rarely alter the anti-blood-clotting effects of anticoagulant medicines such as warfarin. Your doctor may wish to monitor your blood clotting time (INR) more frequently while you are taking both medicines.

I've taken amoxicillin many times but only a 2000mg dose when going to the dentist. I've never noticed any difference in INR. Taking it for more than one day might effect INR.

I routinely see changes of .5 in INR without doing a thing. I just ignore them unless it keeps going in one direction.

Q10 supplements (Pills) may interfere with warfarin, but slathering on a cream with a low amount of Q10 shouldn't do anything INR-wise.
Are you still sick, or sick again? Whichever, stop doing yardwork and rest or you won't get better.... Antibs are not something you want to be taking multiple times a year. (just my 2 cents) ;)

More yard work...could be that the increased physical activity has bumped your metabolic rate enough to change your INR.
