I got a call from my cardio today (in response to our request for him to call) and he said that I can pick up a copy of my records any time. The only minor delay is going to be the fact that he's 30 miles away. I live in the middle of nowhere and I have *NOT* been dealing well with the 100-degree weather lately (the A/C in my van doesn't work - and I have a window that won't close anyway).

The cardio also told me that I can expect a call from the surgeon (he gave me a choice of one) in the next few days to set up my first consultation.
It's Dr. Charles Watkins at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock. Anyone here have any experience with him?

I'm more than a little curious how soon he's going to schedule the surgery. My most noticable symptom is what happens when I'm out in the heat. Yesterday, I went "into town" with my daughter driving. We were gone for about an hour and a half - half of which was waiting inside various air-conditioned buildings. By the time we got back home I was panting and ready to pass out - and it had nothing to do with my daughter's driving!

I'm not sure what all tests you've had done, but I'm assuming the surgeon will request whatever hasn't been done yet. He'll make his call based on those. The heat-Even normally functioning folks are having a hard time dealing with it and those of us a little off, it's a whole lot worse. I've had to stay inside for the last 10 days for the most part in the air conditioning. I can't breath in the extreme heat and humidity. I'm sure yours is symptom related.

Any person with heart related issues, is greatly affected by temperature extremes - cold or hot. Take it easy and try to stay where it's comfortable as much as you can.
