Well I am almost there, I now am 35 weeks. So far my heart is doing well, i have been getting monthly echos. There still is a pressure gradiant over the homograft valve but its weird how its been fluctuating, I am guessing maybe bc of the pregnancy. The doctors are hoping to induce me around 39 weeks for a regular delivery. Im just little scared considering I have had 3 surgeries and dont want anything to pull loose or anything. The doctors have assured me that they can use the forceps so I dont have to push so much. Im hanging in there. Lynette :)

Just curious!

Just curious!

Did you have the homograph to replace the st jude mechanical? If not then how are you doing anticoag with the pregnancy? I am glad to hear that all is well for you. I just had my first OHS on Jan. 4, 2006. I admire your stamina and determination to go forward with life and enjoy having children. May God bless you with a wonderful bundle of joy!

Lynette,
I am so glad that the pregnancy is going well, and you're almost to the end of it.:) If you can keep your homograft in line for just a few more weeks, then we can all breath easier!
Have you picked out names, and do you know the sex of the baby yet?
Hugs,
Mary

you r so close!

you r so close!

congratulations! I hope that is me a year from right now....I juust had surgery so I would be able to have my second. Stay well and best of luck....everything will go fine and it is going to be such a happy time for you!

Lynette,

What a joy you have waiting for you! When your child is born, there's nothing like it.

Brings some CD's for labor. I played Sara MacLaughlin (sp?) and enjoyed the experience as much as possible. My doctor gave me an epidural early to help ease the strain on my heart. I don't know if you'll need it, but it's something to think about.

Be sure to go over your birth "check list" with your doctors. Ask for an early BP reading, etc. Never take it for granted that the nurse on call or doctors know your case, or remembered their own check lists.

Blessings,
