Hi Just thought I'd let you know how well my mum is doing. :)

I was back at work last week so she is now on her own at home.

She was hampered from getting exercise outside because of the recent snow, but yesterday it melted and she went to get the newspaper. She felt well enough to then take a bus ride to the bank and post office, she even bought some small items in the supermarket. (she didn't mention the shopping but I found it!).

She's also become far more active with cooking and housework (excluding anything heavy).

She said she's feeling very well now and she could feel how much strength she has now gained when she walked to get the paper etc.

So things feel almost back to normal. I've told her to be careful not to overdo it now that she is feeling so much better.

Great news to hear. She should stay active and moving to speed and improve her recovery. Walking is a great exercise when possible, but still, she should not overdo it.
Take care,
John

thanks guys, she didnt go out today as it was raining so she had a bit of a rest, but she was tenderising steaks in the kitchen with a mallet this afternoon :)

How good to hear how well your Mom is doing. Good advice she not overdo but it's also good she be as active as she feels up to. Sounds like she is doing great.
