Just an update on my grandson,Tommy. As you know I asked for prayers about eight weeks ago because he had stopped breathing several time after he was born and was diagnosed as a high risk for SIDS. He was sent home with a heart and breathing monitor and had to wear it 24/7. He saw the Cardiologist last week and had a EKG and Echo and his heart is perfectly normal. He only has to wear the monitor when he is sleeping now because of the SIDS risk. He spent the day with me yesterday and he smiled at me everytime I talked to him. I am a very happy Mawmaw. I was really worried he might have a bicuspid valve like my husband. Thanks for the prayers.

I'm so glad to hear your Grandson is doing better....And No heart problems......I know how you feel..It's been a long time since I had a little one to get sick. My new Russian Grandaughter is not sick..but has had some problems with meds she has had to take since arriving home... (TB meds for 9 months) she is also a breatholder (when she gets upset) Turns blue around the mouth before she catches her breath... I hope she never has one when I have her alone  Witness one when Mama took something away from her. Doctor says she will grow out of it... :) Hope Tommy continues to be healthy. Bonnie

Terri,

Very happy to hear the good news about your grandson. :D

Bonnie,

My little brother (now 44, but will always be my "little" brother) used to hold his breath when he was 3 or 4 (so long ago I can't remember exactly). He would roll on the floor and turn blue. He even passed out a couple of times but then the automatic stuff kicked in. He did grow out of it and without permanent damage (except to the rest of us and our nerves :D ).

That's great news.

That's great news.

I'm so happy for you and I know what a relief this must be. My son Trip (now 12 & not my heart kiddo) was on an apnea monitor for a year as he was also prone to bouts of apnea. He eventually outgrew it and is healthy as a horse now. I'm sure Tommy will do the same. Hugs. J.
