I spent 2-2.5 hours, yes hours, on the phone with my insurance company...but I willl spare you the details! I gave up and called QAS and imagine if you can, a LIVE PERSON answered the phone! She said they are working on my approval from the insurance and will be calling me sometime next week! Can't wait!

Be patient and persistent. Sooner or later, it will happen. ;) Unfortunately, all the girls at QAS are on to me, so I can't help much there.
 
I have QAS and they are wonderful. I have no problem ordering supplies at all. It is really nice to talk to a person on the phone, and one you can understand. ;)

I been away. Just now catching up with all the posts. I called Edge Medical today (they were supposed to call me).They said it was going to be $772 for a monitor(Coaguchek XS), that would be my copay because I hadnt fufilled my deductible. Well, I know I HAVE fulfilled it, so I told her so, made a call to the insur. co. and they confirmed it. Gave Edge the direct line number for the insur. Lo and behold, the one phone call I made has now knocked it down to a $500 copay. I called again and left a message at Edge and told them that I forgot, that durable medical on me is covered 100% after deductible!!! Waiting to hear back on that one! So excited to soon be able to stick myself. Mwaaahaaahhaaaa! There must me something wrong with me!

You will be soooo happy with QAS! They are a great company & have great customer service --- always helpful & courteous! :)

What is Edge Medical? Have you switched from QAS?
 
I have an HMO so they had to get some company who is "in network" involved. QAS set it up. The durable medical benefit for me is 25% copay so I have to call them tomorrow with a form of payment. Then it will be on its way!
 
Darn it! My bad hearing strikes again. The woman told me on the phone I WASNT approved yet for the monitor. She told me my copay and what all was included, so I guess I just must have ASS U
ME D (assumed) that I was approved. She said another week yet before approval probably.
