He was discharged and my brother took him to his cardiologist appt today. The only concern was some noise still in his lungs, they took bloodwork and a chest xray. My brother took him for a haircut. He said Dad looked pretty good just somewhat weak etc.

I filed a complaint against the nursing home. As it is confidential cant discuss it but most i've written here in previous posts. More went on since my last post.

I did tell the agency that is investigating that I am concerned not only with my Dad's mistreatment but other patients there.

I appreciate the support I've recieved here so very much. I am so releived he is out of there and he should be able to fly home the first of June.

Again thanks for everything. I know I can come here and ask questions and hopefully one day be of help to someone else here.

Great news Pam and I am glad you made the necessary report. Your dad will be so happy to be home.

All's well that ends well.

I know it makes me happy, so I 'm sure it makes him happy! Thank God, back safely in caring persons arms.

I'am so glad that you finally got your dad home. Wishing you the best of luck with everything. Hope your dad as a great recovery.

Good News, but I can't help but wonder, where is he staying now? Is your brother (or anyone else) going to be able to be with him all day / night?

I *assume* he is still in Florida somewhere.

Congratulations on reporting that negligent rehabilitation facility!

Good news, Pam. We look forward to hearing that he is home soon.

Thanks all:)

Al-my brother will be staying with him day and night at his house in Fl. and then flying back with him.

Will get results today of bloodwork and chest xray as he has an appt. with nurse practitioner at surgeons office.

I have been following your post and Im relieved and happy that your Dad is much better and being looked after so well. Best Wishes.

I'm glad to read this, Pam, and am hoping your dad will recover very well now. Take care :) .

Dad got his xray results and has a plural effusion sp? So he had to have a tube put in somewhere in the shoulder blade area down into the lung to drain fluid. Now his flight plans may be changed, guess could be a problem with air pressure in plane. His bloodwork ok.

So nice to read that "Dad" is finally getting the true care he needs. Bet your breathing easier too.

Prayers for 'dad', you and your brother coming your way
