Hello Again,
This is Carla's husband, Bill. I wanted to give you an update on Carla as I said I would. I apologize for not updating sooner.
There were some problems. First Carla was unable to breath when removed from the respirator. Second the Atriel Fibulation that Carla has developed over the past few years is not abating with the drugs that have been given for that problem, which caused the Doctors concern.
Carla was put back on the respirator. This was distrubing, we had evisioned things alot differently by this time. However this morning when I went into here room the repirator had been removed and Carla for the first time since the operation was alert able to talk and extremely happy. She said she has no pain except a little bit of a swore throat which is usual. Apparently there was swelling caused by the respirator tube inserted in her throat. This also caused labored breathing when initially removed.
Her Fibulation should not be a problem and can be corrected once the heart has had time to gain strenght.
Although Carla is not completely out of the woods there has been remarkable improvment and she appears to be gaining strenght by the minute.
The first question she had for me was had i posted in this forum. She thanks everyone for the well wishing and looks forward to posting again soon.
Thank You,
Bill
