NEWHEARTPT

:) Hi all. I posted a week or so ago about possibly needing a transplant. I had to go on Monday for a heart cath for pressures, etc. Well -- I got good news!! My doc says that my valve is not regurgitating as much as they thought (2 weeks ago!). And that my pressures are all good. Basically that my heart is working much better that they thought 2 weeks ago. I cannot tell you what a relief that is. They are not going to do anything at this point but keep up my meds. I am so happy. I am still thinking of going to the cardiomyopathy center at UCLA - it sounds like they have a wonderful program. And there are no CHF docs here in Las Vegas. Is there anyone out there that lives in Las Vegas. Or anyone who has gone to the program at UCLA? Well -- just a little good news that is encouraging for anyone out there with these heart problems!!!

That's the best kind of news we can hear. Glad it turned out to be just another medical fire drill. It sure is bad while it's happening, though, isn't it?

They should have the good graces to apologize when they put people through things like this. Heck, the stress from something like this can take years off your life even without a heart condition. ;)

Best wishes

That was great news!!!! Hope you can find a good CHF specialist out there.
