Went in this morning for cardiac cat and discovered my 10 year old Stent is collapsing so ambulance ride to Roanoke and now scheduled for a bypass in the morning to go with my aortic and mitral valve replacements.
Was expecting this surgery in a month or so but Dr says I might not last if Stent colapses. Just not really prepared for the reality hitting me quite this hard.
Worried about complications etc, just really in shock.
Just getting a little nervous, maybe a lot nervous! Lee.

hey
glad they caught it and glad you are getting treatment :)

I think I understand the nervousness ... its sort of normal I reckon.

If it helps, post a status update to this thread of "what's what" and know that people here are listening and that may just make it feel better.

If you need someone to chat to PM me your phone num and I can call you at weirdarse times in the hospital from Australia (cos you'll be awake at weirdarse times I'll bet) to have a "visitor"

You'll be fine.

Ditto to what pellicle's said. Of course you're nervous; normal reaction. Do you have someone supporting you through this? Sending positive energy your way.
