I never cease to be amazed when reading stories of the US health system. I can only hope that some day you will all have access to affordable quality health care. Even the cost of medical devices made in the US appears to be greatly more than when the same device is sold in another country.

You are not kidding there, I was amazed at the price of artificial vales in the US, mine are from there and only cost a small fraction of the amount paid in the US.
