As a lot of you know, there is a stomach flu going around. Well, I got dehydrated on friday night, and Ian started throwing up the same night. Well, the next day, Erik was taking care of me and I was feeling better, so decided to clean out the bedroom closet, and he was watching tv on my bed, while Ian was playing on my computer. Erik went to get off my bed and Ian had put a curtain rod on the floor next to my bed, and Erik landed on the sharp end of it, and sliced his foot, so I had to RACE him to the ER, where he got 5 stitches on the bottom of his foot. Anyways, that night he ended up getting the flu and threw up on my bed. I guess Ian must have fallen asleep on the foot of my bed because this morning he got out of be and vomitted all over. So he stayed home from school, and tonight Erik got it AGAIN! UGH. At least I am feeling better. I just feel bad for the boys, especially little Erik, hobbling around...he crawls alot and hobbles on his heal. Poor baby! He gets his stitches out on March 14th. Anyways, I better get going. Just thought I would vent.

Joy, you are really having a hard time of it. I am sorry for you. I DO know about the virus, tho. I have it, bro had it and was hospitalized. It's just miserable - can't seem to get it gone. Hope you all get over it soon.

You are doing a good job of being the head of the family right now. But it won't be much longer. Please take care of yourself and the wee ones.

Sorry, didn't mean to gross you out there, guys. I know it won't be long now, we are in the 3rd month, almost half way done with it. Next month I will be going to MN over Ian's spring vacation. I just feel bad for Erik. I am feeling better, I don't stay sick long, nor do I get sick very often. I was only sick that one day. I rehydrated myself...lots of fluids and cheerios. Ian is going to school today, but I will leave the teacher with my cell phone number so she can call if I need to come get Ian, and just hope she doesn't so I don't have to stop in the middle of my errands and run. But as I was telling Erik last night, I wouldn't have it any other way. Mother hood, who knew? I said to Erik, "I dress you, feed you, clean up after you, change your diapers, take care of you when you are sick and hurt, sing you to sleep, and discipline you." I don't really enjoy doing all this, but I wouldn't have it any other way. That's because i love you two." He agreed, he said "wouldn't have it any other way, I love you too, mommy." He's three, and very cute. Well, I need to get Ian to school. WIll keep you updated.

This, too, will pass..............

This, too, will pass..............

and pass and pass ......right on through! :D Sorry, couldn't resist. Hope you all are back to fighting form soon. When Don was deployed, Katie, too, got the stomach bug - she had it for a record eighteen days. They ran all sorts of tests - I became queen of all pooper scoopers - and it ended up just being a bug. I was grateful for that, but boy was I even more grateful when it was all behind us (sorry, did it again). She has gotten stomach bugs since, but nothing compares (thankfully) to that marathon run(s)! Now, when she gets a stomach bug, she wants to go to the hospital so the doctor can take that bug out of her tummy. Erik sounds like a real cutie pie. Hang in there, sweetie, and let us know how it goes. Hugs. J.

Bob, did you ever get your lunch eaten? Don't read this over your lunch, ok? Now that the tummy part is done, it's coming out the other end...on BOTH of them. Yuck, found that out when I went to change Erik today! It is funny how flatulant a kid can be, yet look so cute and innocent when he does it! :p

Joy, sure got the giggles reading your posts. Remembering a time husband and daughter and I all had the stomach flu...doctoring, trying to at least, each other. Hang in there girl, I know this is hard on you, but you will make it and ALL your guys will be together! Hugs.
