Travel insurance fun

In a few weeks I am travelling to England for a week crafting course and the person arranging it suggested we get some travel insurance in case we need to cancel. Oh great fun. The Channel Islands have a reciprocal health agreement (at the moment) with the UK so our emergency medical treatment would be free so all I really want is cancellation and baggage insurance.

I contacted a local insurance broker as it needs to cover the flights from here to England and return. Obviously I told them in my email that I had had health issues so a young man telephoned me today and gave me the contact details of a health assessment centre for travel insurance. What a lot of questions I had to answer, masses of them.

The upshot is that they will insure me and the premium isn't high so I will be taking it out.

Mostly they seemed concerned with what has happened in the past two years.

I am heavily into making cards, the course is for parchment craft which I love.

This is a card which I sent to one of our members who was about to have valve replacement and who was 'into' plumbing.

what an interesting and very appropriate card for a VR member. I used to do shirt painting, some oil and acrylic painting, and sewing. Had so much stuff and finally had to quit because there was nothing to do with it except stack it up. still keep the brushes, tho, just in case. Enjoyed every moment. Learn lots on your trip.......

I never realised that you were a crafter, My best friend is really into Parcment and had made some wonderful cards.

I started as a cardmaker but my passion now is Scapbooking which I really enjoy, but like most crafters I tend to buy more supplies than I need !!!
