Someone wanna express their guidance for todays dose
of my warfarin.......Long story how this ever happened so
not even gonna go into detail except i doubled a dose 7 mg.
on tuesday suppertime and took 7 mg yesterday suppertime,
today did my blood before supper and its at 4.7 the inr, havent
taken todays yet as im not sure if im finished the increase of the
mistaken double on tuesday of 14mg total along with yesterdays 7 mg .....
am i safe to increase abit or should i skip todays as i hate skipping doses
cus then i go low,but in this case im questioning (what to do)?Im likely gonna increase more in inr yet right? They like the inr around 3 to 3 .3 anyhow ,so maybe im safe to go ahead with abit tonight. Any suggestions would be
much appreciated..........Thanks alot everyone

Yes, there are times that I don't even know what day it is.....:D
I would not half dose 2 days in a row, you don't want to start a downswing either.
Can you test again in 4 days?

4.7 doesn't make me do anything but go:rolleyes:. It's not an outrageous number. 10 is!!!! :D If it were me, I'd just go ahead and do my normal dose and test in a week. (My range is 2.5 - 3.5) If you're going to take 1/2 a dose, I'd just do it once. Your high INR is only a momentary thing. 3 days and your done with the mess up.

I did the same thing.

I did the same thing.

I hate to admit that I took two doses on the same day, and I did that twice. I have 7 day med boxes, but I think I need a keeper!!! The first time I did it, I got my days mixed up. Nothing to say about the second day.

I just saw these days as an opportunity to eat large qualtities of foods that I would otherwise eat in moderation. I love spinach and V-8. I did decrease my Coumadin for three days. And, I'm still here to tell the tale.

Thanks everyone, Least im not the only one!
But a first in 16 years of taking coumadin I screwed -up.
Im blaming the SHIFT WORK not only myself, must be color-
blind too cus the 7 day individuals are colored different for
the week too.....didnt help me!!!
Chose to half it tonight and hit abit higher half tomorrow, then
hit reg 7 again.....thanks everyone for your input.
appreciated very much .

zipper2.....Thank God for the coagucheck,Idodge the vampires again(haha):)

I'm a little late on this, but I'd skip a dose. personally, I'd call my cardio, but if it were the weekend, I'd skip a dose.
