Hi All-
Things are continuing to go well. Taking it easy, but walking and adding a little something here and there.
Noticed a couple of days ago that as I heal, the incision feels "tighter" as if its contracting somewhat. No evidence of infection, shortness of breath or anything, just the sese of tightness- as if I was doing crunches.
Nurse will be here tomorrow and am to see the Cardiologist for follow-up friday; but curious as to whether others have experienced this.

Hey Ludlowjack,
My incision tightened up some but seems to be OK now. The tightness was at the top around the neck area. I found it hard to lean by head back very far, but now don't seem to have a problem. Glad to hear that everything else is going fine.

Hi!

I had some tightening in the upper part of the incision. I started doing the shoulder rolls and up & down stretching of the shoulders(from the rehab warm up stretches) and it seems to be okay now unless I use poor posture for a while.

Take care,

I had the same sensation. In my case it was because they closed the skin incision with a single running stitch which would dissolve. They didn't tell me that it could take up to 6 months to dissolve, hence the pulling sensation, especially when I put my head back. The occupational health nurse at work was the one who told me how long stitches can take to dissolve. It is 100% fine now and no tight sensation at all.

I speak only from my own experience, your circumstances may not be the same. Hope it feels freer soon.
