The following note is what I have written for my Cardiologist, if and when I see him.

On the evening of Monday November 28th, 2011 around 7:00pm, I experienced right shoulder blade pain shortly after having supper. The discomfort subsided after sitting/lounging for 30 minutes.
During this same evening at 8:50pm, I got up from my sitting position (knees up, sitting on my feet) and walked 12 steps into the kitchen, got really dizzy (head spinning, not the room) had to go to the floor on all fours. This lasted for a few minutes.
From 9:00pm to 9:30 pm, after the dizziness I experienced, nausea for about 10 minutes, sweating for approx. 3 minutes with a headache to follow that lasted about 10 minutes. Feeling exhausted I was in bed by 10:10pm and slept well.
The following morning (Tuesday November 29th), right side of face felt tight, maybe a little numb/tingle, which subsided a little during the course of the morning/day. Although the pain/discomfort in the right shoulder blade re-appeared 2 hours after waking up and somewhat subsided after 3 hours. Later in the day the pain returned and was felt in my right arm to the elbow.

Throughout the day (today) I haven't felt quite right. I have a slight headache that's been with me most of the day and if I do anything even walking/stairs my head seems to get heavier and the pain in my shoulder and arm subsides.

So.....it seems to me that may have very well experienced a TIA and today I'm just feeling the after effects.

Resting HR is 68

What are thoughts/suggestions/advice?

Thanks

Freddie,

I don't want to give you medical advice or frighten you, but a few of your symptoms appear to be similar to a heart attack.
WebMD says: http://www.webmd.com/heart-disease/features/her-guide-to-a-heart-attack

"commonly have symptoms of shortness of breath, unexplained fatigue, or pressure in the lower chest, so they easily mistake it as a stomach ailment."
common heart attack symptoms include:
shortness of breath (57.9%)
weakness (54.8%)
unusual fatigue (42.9%)
also these symptoms:
Nausea
Dizziness
Lower chest discomfort
Upper abdominal pressure or discomfort that may feel like indigestion
Back pain"

Whether it was a TIA or something else I think you should call a nurse and describe your symptoms for a professional opinion.

Best,
John

Fred ... don't rely on information here and please don't jump to any conclusions from what anyone might post, Call the doctor and if they can't see you as fast as you want to be seen go to the ER. I had something similar a few months back and drove to the ER ... they documented it as "stroke like symptoms" but never figured our what it was ... sometimes ship just happens... Hugs...

Freddie, in your signature, you have a quote..."That to ignore the facts does not change the facts". I would contact my doctor and let him/her diagnose what is, or is not, going on. I have had what I think where TIAs and did not have symptons like yours....and I have had a CVA(stroke) and did not have symptons like yours. Since you continue to experience some problems, I would get professional input.

Freddie,
I've been hospitalized after two TIA episodes, and they were not similar to what you've described.
I'd take the good advice you've been given and either call the doctor or go to the ER.
Let us know what the professionals think after you visit with them.

Hey chickadee,
I couldn't open your email attachment but I think from what you have written here that it would be wise to
go to the ER and at least have them draw blood to determine a heart attack or not, and run an EKG.
My sister had a heart attack and my Dad has had strokes, please get checked.
