Especially considering this is Perry's birthday (Cindy's guide dog).

That IS great! The closest Perry comes to this is when he brings Cindy's house shoe to her with his feet up on the edge of the bed and his head towering over her. I'll have this hound to pray for Cindy I guess.

A friend of mine used to have a golden retriever named Salty for a seeing eye dog. That was the best dog I have ever come across. When they came to visit, he used to follow me around the kitchen when I cooked. Dan said it was because he and his wife were both blind and a lot of stuff fell on the floor when they cooked.:)
When he got too old and he had to give him up for a new dog, I wanted to keep him but Dan discouraged us. He said he was old and we would be looking at big vet bills.
I am going to have to call Dan. I have not talk to him in ages.

You can count on that. Perry would I know, that is if we were both blind. It is a big no no, but they are still dogs. Goldens are wonderful creatures, I agree.
