Not sure if this is the right spot or not, but I'll give this a shot. This is something that has been frustrating to me since I've been on warfarin. I have thin hair up top, and keep it cut short because that's how it looks the best. Especially in the summertime (probably from sweating and using a sports sun screen on my noggin), I have pimples show up on my head, and if they pop from a comb or scratching them I'm left with nice little scabs all over my head since it takes a while to stop bleeding. I've tried Head and Shoulders shampoo and change my pillow case often. I'm wondering if any of my follicly challenged bretheren have/had had this problem, and what worked for them.

Thanks,
Marc

I am balding, but use an old fashioned hat instead of sunscreen on my head. It has a brim to protect the face as well.

It could be the sports sun screen. It gives me pimples on my arms. On my arms, face, etc. I use Clinque M Protect Lotion for men. It does not make me break out, while things like Coppertone, Banna Boat, CVS brand, etc. does. It's not advertised as water or sweat proof, but I sweat like a field hand and it stays on. Just don't put it above the eyes, because it burns if your sweat takes it to the eyes.

Not a bald brethren here, but I do have a great hubby who is also follicaly challenged. I have a couple ideas though.
Have you tried consulting a dermatologist? They might have some ideas?

Also check sunscreen for presence of PABA. Many people are allergic/ sensitive to this ingredient. Maybe also use sunscreen intended for sensitive skin or face.

Hats work great too but I could see sweating in one also causing breakouts if you're prone to them.

Good luck,
Linda
