What is the most outrageous thing you've heard at work? By outrageous, I mean outright stupid.
I have 2 submissions:
(1) Today, a co-worker finally received an e-mail from a customer that he had been expecting since yesterday.
A relative of the customer called to explain why the e-mail initially wasn't going through:
Customer thought she had to put the area code before the e-mail address.
(2) Also today, another customer called, saying that she didn't want to pay for her announcement -- because the computer hyphenated 2 words in the very lengthy text. Thought it was "bad" journalism and wants a refund. Guess she doesn't understand computers being programmed to hyphenate words.
Will she get her refund? Definitely not.
Next full moon? Friday, July 18. Maybe we're in the upswing already!
Would love to hear of other outlandish situations.
