Thought you'd all like to see what happened in our area after I left chat last night. Oh yeah, not more then 2 minutes after I left the chat, my power went out. We got 4+ inches of rain in a short amount of time. The total rainfall for our area in the month of July so far is 12.52 inches. The pictures below are from near my old neighborhood where we lived not terribly long ago.

Yikes

Yikes

What is that dead thing floating out in the front of the first picture? Looks like a pig.  Snow, sleet in the winter..floods in the summer..better pack up and come South:p :p Bonnie

They were asking me last night what it's been like in Ohio. I told them Hot one year, cool the next, rain all the time this year, and hard to say what next year holds.

I haven't a clue what's floating in that picture. Could be a box for all I know. ;)

Wow

Wow

Ross,
That is a lot of rain.
We are jealous up here.
Every storm has gone mainly south of us here in S.E. Michigan.
We have got next to nothing this summer so far and our grass sure looks like it.
Our water bill will be out of sight.
My wife was surprised since she talked to her sister in North Canton last night and she never mentione the rain.
Please send some this way:rolleyes:

Nice pictures Ross. I guess you were not kidding about how hard it was raining. We too have had a wet season down in our area of North Carolina. We'll be OK as long as we don't get anything tropical on top of it all.

Rich just to so contrast, Clevelands total for the month of July so far is only slightly over 4 inches and here we sit at 12.5. 4 of that 12.5 fell last night!

Wow that is nasty Ross. Does the water get inside at that level?

Our neighbor flooded the back part of our yard with her sprinkler. The way we found out it was so wet....Kara went sliding on her rear in back of the swing set. Boy was she upset and muddy, LOL.:D

Hey Ross, you won't kidding about the storms, hope everything is alright with you and your property. It was a good chat last night. Dave

Keep your fires small!

Hi Gina, yes the water entered houses in that area and people were being rescued by boat last night. Red Cross and a couple of others were getting them places to stay.

Dave I'm very lucky to be where I am. We are on higher ground and the property slopes just right to keep things from really becoming a problem here. The only thing I worry about is my roof. It's lost it's slope and all the water goes to one corner which is right above my head and over this computer. I'm thinking of moving things now.
