Q

queness

I was not quite sure if this should be posted here or on the Receipes but after this much of an ongoing ordeal I felt as queness partner I needed to write a little something.

The Chef

So, slice it and dice it
Serve it up on a platter.
It must be tasty for
These guys to want
A third time to get
This dish just right.

So fillet it or chop it.
Served up on a platter.
Got sutured this turkey with
Stuffing spilling from her
Orfices. Carve it another way
Until she can Visualize again a
Whole heart. Heart with soul.
Heart with feeling, Romantic,
Nuturing, careing. Now in pieces.
I hurt for you when tears won't
Come to your eyes.

So, serve it up. Heart on the table.
Sterile surgery. Antisecptic, uncaring
What happens to your person
Without your joy center, your being center.
A good presentation is not all
It takes to make a gourment dish.

What insight you've expressed with your words!
It captures the truth that our hearts are only objects, bared to the surgeon's scapel, waiting to be restarted, so our lives can resume.
I imagine that our souls hover above the surgical field in anticipation of either returning to us or fluttering towards heaven.

Thanks for sharing such true thoughts. Although I can say from experience that, after 3 OHS, I am no longer a "good presentation" but I like to think the work done on the inside is gourmet.
Now - off to that filet mignon and foi gras.
