We went to a wedding last night and guess where the bride and groom are going on their honeymoon.............you're right,...Cancun.

I hope this hurricane shrinks in strength before it ever hits land. It sure looks menacing right now!

I haven't been paying much attention, but the thread caught my eye. I'm heading out of O'Hare tomorrow at 11:00 a.m. to Beaumont for work. I return Wednesday night late. Guess I better start looking at some weather sites.

Is on live from Cancun..Yes, it will hit there (Emily) in 5 hours. 80,000 tourists were unable to get flights out..airport is closed.. Yes, my regular thunderstorm is now sitting over my house again.. 6 P.M. every night.. :( Good news..My Grandson is HOME :D Bonnie

My son is on a mission trip just south of Brownsville. The map at the beginning of the thread has Emily going right at Brownsville. Late yesterday we heard the storm was tracking south of them. Now CNN reports the track right at them. I'm expected a phone call anytime that they are coming home.

We've had quite a bit of rain for the last week, thanks to hurricane season.
Last Friday I flew to Orange County, California. I checked with American Airlines @ 4:20 p.m. and learned of a 30-minute flight delay, pushing departure from 7:29 p.m. to 7:59 p.m.
Nearly every flight was delayed @ DFW; a couple were canceled, and only a few were boarding. Bad weather had shut down the airport several times.
My flight finally left @ 9:30 p.m. We were given high priority for takeoff, because we were trying to beat the 11 p.m. landing curfew at John Wayne Airport. We landed @ 10:30 p.m. -- 2 hours after the original departure time.

A co-worker got married Saturday and had planned a honeymoon in Cozumel. She & her new husband were to fly from DFW to Houston Bush, then to Cozumel. Her plans were changed to a Tuesday departure. Even that might not materialize -- if the Yucatan Peninsula gets hit extremely hard.

Oops, I meant original arrival time.
Geez, I must really be suffering from jet lag and not much sleep during the weekend. To top it off, my return flight landed at 11:30 p.m. last night and I only got 5 hours' sleep last night, er, should I say this morning?

Don't sweat it Paul.. I am only a half hour from Beaumont and we may get some rain and wind, but it won't be bad.. not like it will be farther south towards Brownsville / Mexico boarder.
