Hello everyone, I am wondreing if there is any type of medication that can assist me with the severe pain I have with tendonitis of my right shoulder. Physical therapy will happen shortly, but at the moment, my right arm is almost immobilized. Tylonol will not touch it and because I am on Warafin (St. Judes Aortic valve replacemt) it seems that I cannot take anything else. Any insights??

I got a cortisone/local anesthetic shot in my shoulder a few years back when I was having some sort of inflammation pain. Worked great.

Any chance your doctor would do that for you? Better than pills because it lasts much longer.

There are no medical jorunal reports EVER of ANYONE having a bleed from the combination of Alleve and warfarin. You have inflammation and Tylenol is not an antiinflammatory so if it did work, it would just be the placebo effect (did something so it has to quit hurting.)

Thanks Al - Tylonol did NOT work - so you think Alleve is something I should try....

Tylenol should never be taken for anything that ends in -itis. -itis means inflammation and Tylenol does not work for inflammation.
