I have a nuclear stress test tomorrow, to check into possible reasons for recent angina-like events. I have put it out of my mind since scheduling the test about a month ago, but now have to think about it. I just want to keep on doing well without additional complications, with my surgery nearly three years behind me. Most of the time I feel fine. Guess I will get some information tomorrow, one way or the other.

Just want to wish you all the best tomorrow on your test. It is a very good test and it is easy. Please keep us updated on what you found out. You will be in my thoughts and prayers.
Take Care

Dave

I live North--Woodlands area. But I would always go to the Medical Center for any heart advice. Texas Heart Institute is great, but the doctors at Methodist hospital are great too. You cannot miss with either, I think. My surgeon, Dr. Ott, is very well known and has been the surgeon for several people her. My cardio is Dr. Patrick Hogan. I like both very much. I took great comfort in the confidence I had in my doctors throughout the process. My local cardio, from Conroe, gave me some bad information and my local GP in The Woodlands mis-diagnosed me at first. So whatever you do, go to HOUSTON! Hope this helps and feel free to email me privately.

Big Relief

Big Relief

My appointment yesterday had the results I was hoping for. Dr. Hogan said he thinks my arteries are fine and my valve is working fine too. My tricuspid is leaking a little but that has been the case all along and does not seem to set me back that much. The results from my nuclear stress will not be in for a day or so, but he said he thinks, based on everything else, that they will be OK too.

The only problem I had yesterday was a monster migraine, and could not take meds until after the stress test was completed. I finally got rid of it last night about 3 A.M. and feel washed out today but very, very relieved. I AM READY FOR THANKSGIVING!! And I am thankful for this group and all it does to help so many people. Thanks to everyone who offered me encouragement about this ripple in my pond. Best wishes to all for a joyous holiday. I am gonna go home and bake cookies tonight!
