Systolic Clicks and Murmurs noted in kids echoes....

I was reading through the boys' Echo reports last-nite and it dawned on me that here in my hand I had 2 very different descriptions of those noises in our hearts we stress over ie: the murmurs...

I thought I would just scan a bit of it so you too can read the wonderful and varied descriptions they give to these sounds...

It shows to me that a murmur aint always a murmur it may be a click instead!....

as you can read..

a murmur does not always accompany a BAV....

food for thought mums, moms and dads out there...

All bicuspid aortic valvers should try to take their kids to a good pediatric cardiologist.
One of the cardiologists I saw told me I had the ejection click as well -- in addition to a pronounced murmur.
