Ken had his surgery yesterday. Dr. Ryan was able to go ahead with the Ross procedure. He said Ken was a perfect candidate for it. Ken is out of ICU now and on his way to recovery.

That's great news! I'm so glad he was able to perform the Ross procedure successfully on Ken.
Thanks for letting us know.:)

Thanks for the update and please tell him we send him our best wishes for an uneventful recovery.

Wonderful news! Please keep us posted on how his first few days go.

it's been a while since i logged in and posted but i had to say that is good news to hear since i'm a little biased when it comes to dr. ryan. my plan was to have the ross done and have the porcine as a back up. for me i ended up with the porcine but could not be more pleased with the results. just take it easy and do the fun stretches and walks. you will be back to normal in no time....the hardest part...pre-surgery stress....is over. if you have any questions about recovery let me know. dr. ryan is one of the best...and his staff too....they really take the time and make the effort to make you as comfortable and understanding as possilbe.

Excellent. I go in to see Ryan next week for a 2 year follow up visit. I'm sure Ken will be home by then but if not I'll stop by and see him.

He has been in our prayers. Best wishes for a speedy recovery. The holidays will be more special knowing it's behind him.

Regards,

Jim

Glad to hear the good news -- great to wake up post-op with what you wanted pre-op.

Bet that Ken can't wait to get back home to Brock. Been through there a couple of times while exploring parts of Parker County.
