I have requested an expedited appeal of my request to go outside the network for surgery. Hopefully this will work, but I am not having surgery this Thursday. I absolutely hate this...I feel like its very, very hard on my son.

I feel very stresed and sad right now. I just want this all behind me...

mr
surgery?

Kristi,

Sorry to hear about the Surgery being postponed. I know from your "I'm getting excited about surgery" thread that you had reached the calming stage of your climb. Hope they get things back on track real quick.

Prayers and good thoughts are continuing to come your way.

May God Bless,

Danny

Oh, I am so sorry...........

Oh, I am so sorry...........

Kristin, I was just going to jump on tonight and wish you well, but I opened up to this..........argh! I can certainly understand your angst. We have had a couple of Katie's ops postponed and rescheduled over the years and it is simply maddening. As much as you dread it, you are equally psyched up and just ready to get it over with when whooooosh! thud! the rug is pulled out and you land square on your butt! Many hugs and I hope you get rescheduled soon. Janet

I've learned from experience that if things get delayed, it's for a reason. Don't question it, don't fret over it, just hang in there. Perhaps the stars aren't aligned properly for your surgery, maybe someone else needs it before you, maybe your surgeon will get sick or something. There is always a reason for it. Hang tight kiddo.

Kristi,
Sorry about the postponement as I know you were "so ready", but I hope you get to go out of network and get the exact surgeon and hospital that you desire. Best Wishes,
Phyllis

Son's surgery postponed

Son's surgery postponed

Hi Kristi

The postponement of your son's surgery is a bummer. Been there, done that.
Didn't like it much either.

I totally agree with Ross. When everything is aligned in your son's favour, his turn will come.

Just hang in there.

All my best

Sandra

Ditto to what Ross said. There must be a reason that you might never even know but it's there. I am sure everything will fall into place and you will be over all this very soon. My best to you along with prayers and hugs.

My surgeon, Dr. Starr was not part of my insurance company "network". He also happens to be the best heart surgeon in this part of the country. My cardiologist sent my chart to him for his opinion. Soon Dr. Starr's office called saying he was VERY interested in seeing me again, since he did my ToF repair 40 years ago. I requested a referral from my primary Dr., and an exception was made. They can go outside of those networks if there is good reason. Good luck, Kristi!

I agree with Ross, my sons surgery was cancelled three times before he had his OHS. His check-up would have been on thursday, to find out when he needs surgery and they have changed that, got to wait another eight weeks now. When he did have the operation, we heard of all kind of emergancys and we then understood why we had to wait. Theres always sombody worse off, the waiting is a nightmare, you will get there in the end. Good luck

Be patient!

Be patient!

Have you asked why it has been postponed? Maybe knowing why will put your mind at ease, but yes, there must have been a good reson for that! Try not to get too anxious about it though however annoying it may be!

Sorry for your setback I can well empathasize....I was kept in overnight, shaved then pre-op'ed and was then told to go home as there wasn't a bed free in ICU...but I echo Ross's sentiments completely....things do happen for a reason and your time will come, just sit tight and things will come right....thoughts/prayers coming your way.....:)
