It is now 11:45 PM Jan 4th(Eastern Time), even though this website says 3:30 AM. My surgery is in about 7 hours and as you can probably tell, I am unable to sleep. I have to be at the hospital by 5:30 AM and as I look out my window, this area is in a winter storm watch with 3 inches of snow on the ground and up to 6 inches expected by morning.

Please forgive me, I am nervous and rambling.

What was it that someone said on this website; I'll see you all on the other side of the mountain- with God's help.

Hi Neil-

You're going to be OK tomorrow. No more worrying about the darned valve problem. It'll be just healing and then in a couple of months, you'll be feeling pretty well.

The next couple of days will be a big blur. You'll be medicated a lot, but then right after, they'll have you up walking around, and in a few more days, you'll be back home.

We'll all be thinking of you tomorrow.

God Bless.

Neil,

Not sure if you'll see this before you go into surgery....

But, just wanted to let ya know that I was where you are a year ago. And, 2003 ended up being a blur for me...for the best :). So, good luck...and we'll see you on the other side of the "mountain" :).

As I recall, I didn't get much sleep either the night before the surgery....
