My ohs is now scheduled for June 28, rather than June 20. I have so much confidence to forge ahead with it and hope it remains now for another week. Did that happen to anyone else here? I was actually sad, but then just accepted it:rolleyes: Reason for everything I suppose:) Have a great day all.

Lisa, snoopy, and riley bet it is Snoopy's fault. Just know he doesn't want me to go into the hospital;)

I changed your surgery date on the calendar, Lisa Jeanne. I know how frustrating this must be- hang in there!

That is hard

That is hard

I'm talking from my heart there, on our second surgery it was cancelled more times than I can count (ended up 3 months later than expected!). Remember everything happens for a reason. Be strong, we are still thinking of you and wishing you the best.

I know the feeling

I know the feeling

I met with surgeon at ucla 5/31 and he said we'd do the avr in a few weeks. now i might have to wait until end of july. it's like "useless month," trying to figure out way to make it productive! :p

Lisa,
I remember several members who had their surgeries cancelled and rescheduled at the last minute.
As Jamie said, these delays seem to occur for some unknown reason, but they always seem to turn out for the better.
I hope you can maintain a positive attitude and find something fun and relaxing to do while you wait the extra week.
Take care,
Mary

I'm so sorry you have to go through with this. I would have been absolutely devastated.

Are you having your surgery with Laks?

I am so sorry i know how you feel, last year Justin was supposed to have his surgery the beginning of march it was postponed 3 times actually we ended up going to a different surgeon/hospital,in May and he did great so i am one of those that think there is a reason and it works out for the best, altho it's hard to think that way when going thru it, Lyn www.caringbridge.org/nj/justinw

I know it's frustrating, Lisa Jeanne. A bad cold put mine off for a month. Hope it turns out to be a blessing -- maybe giving you more preparation, reflection, or relaxation time. Meantime know that your friends on vr.com are thinking of you and wishing you the best.
