Hi All

This is a great site filled with great people. I have been viewing the posts for the last couple of weeks though I did not post any messages. Knowing that there are folks out here who can empathize with me is such a wonderful psychological help.

Coming to my problem, I am suffering from "severe aortic insuffieciency" and have been recommended to have the arotic valve replaced in June. Do not have the exact date yet. I live in the San Francisco bay area. I am going to the "El camino hospital" currently. The surgeon at this hospital is "Marc Pelletier". He has recently come here from Canada. Does any of you have any information regarding him that you can share with me?

Also, can you please recommend any other surgeons from the SFO bay area?

Thanks so much
SV

SV,

I can't help you with the SF thing, but welcome to the site! I think we have some members in that area that will probably be along to give you some names.

I live in the bay area too, actually work very close to Camino hospital.. Our condition and age group is the same.. I am also evaluating surgeons in this area.. I think not too many people on this list are from bay area (looking from the lack of responses).. I also posted a similar enquiry sometime ago and not much feedback... anyway, good to see someone is around.. I see that you do not choose to get an e-mail directly from your profile, so feel free to e-mail me at [email protected]..
good luck..

Hello SV,

I live in San Francisco, and will be having VR surgery July 1st @ UCSF. My surgeons name is Dr. Scot Merrick. He is a great guy, and I have heard nothing but good things about him from other people here. Please feel free to contact me if you would like any of his info, or have any other questions. Take care
~Ray
